Fuzzy Fox is an award given by the Fox Cities Triathlon Club to members who have gone above and beyond the average member. I received my first Fuzzy in 2010...
I received my Fuzzy for going above and beyond at the mIronman event in September. mIronman is an event put on by club members for club members. It is an Iron distance event and is supported by club members as well.
That morning I worked my 'crazy' shift (4am - 10am) and drove down to where I would meet up with the racers and other support vehicles. My role was both nutrition/hydration support as well as medical aid - should it be necessary (which it was not that day). Being a Fox and attentive to what was going on around me I noticed there was an additional Fox on the course... Wanting to make sure that all were safe, happy, and hydrated I waited up for her...
I guess that made the committee decide that I was worthy of bringing home a Fuzzy in 2010.
Here you are going to find the 'travels' of Fuzzy Fox.
Here Foxy is observing the outside world. Seeing that is is snowy and cold out there Foxy decides that watching the birds is much more fun than actually being out there.
Foxy finds his fox brother outside (lawn ornament fox purchased after Door County Sprint Triathlon 2010).
Continuing adventures of Fuzzy Fox...
In 2011 the Fox Cities Triathlon Club bestowed upon me another Fuzzy Fox!!! This time it is my crazy positive attitude in the face of sometimes rough situations that earned me the award. My drive to always Just Believe and ability to keep pushing my friends to achieve their goals were aspects that were pointed out as well.
I don't know what I would do without the support of the people I have met in the club. This has been a rough year and while I gained much experience - I gained even more in support and friendships by just keeping at it and always trying to find that bright side. I never have to look far to find a smiling face ready to brighten my day when there are Foxes around. :)
Stay tuned for more adventures of Fuzzy Fox!!!
